Orrin A. Tubbs (1930-2004) was a Maine artist that loved to paint the Maine coastline and its people. Growing up in Portland in the 1930s, he had a particular interest in the city, its colonial architecture, and of course its harbor and boats. From a young age he sketched the scenic beauty of coastal Maine. As an adult, after serving in the military he went on to teach art education, and finally to work full-time as a fine artist. His work with watercolor and acrylic was bold and imaginative. This website is a tribute to his inspiring art work.
